I have a insurance job to try and rescue a poorly installed quad shower the customer wants to save the tiling if possible and has a few spare so fingers crossed it may work , the loss adjuster allowed em £1500 that will just about cover materials. Kop

May do. But if I remember correctly they are a bit rigid.

Possibly but how do I stop it just falling straight through? Or is there a lip on the six inch?
Never used one but had seen them in a brochure.

Piece of 4" in the hole and then a bead of foam and once set cement it in?

the snug I don’t think it will work for your situation As I don’t think you will get it over the fitting

Carrying on the new wet room, but had to call back to an outside oil combi I fitted. Its losing pressure and it's my fault because the last boiler always held pressure.

I've been up before, over pressured checked all the boiler and all my new pipework. All dry.

So went up tonight, ripped open the wall below where my pipes come in. Bone dry.

But the bottom of the wall behind kitchen sink is wet.

Leak sealer going in hopefully get through to warmer months then kitchen wall to come out to find it. Kerching.
Making progress mate nice one

Yep sure do mate what you been working on ??
Same old mate, just lots of boiler repairs, all mundane stuff though, low pressure, f75’s, boiler leaks. It rarely changes. Getting bored and tired of job and tenants, sorry “customers” (not allowed to use the t word  )

I have always called the water supply company in as Shaun stated it's their stopcock and it needs to be accessable and useable, they rely on us to report these faults , if you have the bottle you could freeze the incoming main internally and fit a new stopcock and gain control ? Any pictures . Kop
No pictures sorry but it's just a 15mm copper rising main from under a screeded floor. Called into the job a few times since to see what's happening but apparently they're waiting on the local housing association to turn it off as they reckon it's their responsibility. I've thown my hands up to them and asked them to call me when ready as whoever turns it off only has to be there 10 minutes while I throw a stopcock on. Told them I could use an Aladdin EasyFit Isolator but they said money is an issue. What can you do eh?

Definitely cemented in mate. Gave it a poke. It had been painted over.
If your careful H you can cut it level with a grinder and use a floor drain adapter from clay to 110mm its eithier that or live with the collar and redo it the same if you cut the bend as it goes into the floor you should be able to multi tool it and get it out Regards Kop

Freeze it? Would add to the cost though I guess.

Not done much today, Changed leaking filling loop valve, investigated boiler noise, Changed a diverter valve and pumped up expansion vessel (as standard), investigate a Carbon monoxide alarm activation (customers hob - poor flame picture) - all boring stuff :(☹☹

Boiler service no need for a full strip on this one but did what was needed magna clean doing its job , fitted the hand wash basin in this cloakroom so now completed both projects . Regards kop
