I have a insurance job to try and rescue a poorly installed quad shower the customer wants to save the tiling if possible and has a few spare so fingers crossed it may work , the loss adjuster allowed em £1500 that will just about cover materials. Kop

I like the set up, but most of the coring I do is old stone with crap in the middle. Dont knowvhowvit would fare against that.

Day off today.
Changed front brake pads.
Been for christmas tree.
On fitting new living room carpet.
Then put decorations up.

Back to work tomorrow for a rest.

Turns out the builder didn’t finish his job levelling they base for the boiler so couldn’t core the hole yet as chances are it will be wrong

Every cloud and all that mate. At least you had an easy day.

well no had to hand make a hole in the wall with the trusty coal chisel, don’t miss them days :D

Well the builder pss me off today

spent yesterday first fixing the wastes to the internal stub and noted to them they would need a low level pan due to first fix drainage in the wrong place 6” too far forward So close wouldn’t fit

came today to find all my waste that I did yesterday ripped out and them jackhammering there waste out to move it closer due to low level systems being “too expensive” to say I wanted to swing for someone would be an understatement

least my first and second fix heating system passed pressure test :D

only had one leak only on an elbow on a drop

Do you like the Walraven plastic pipe clips?

I've started using them they're expensive but very handy.

there great for mlcp as they hold them tight

@SimonG i can see why you don’t fit firebird they leak and the flues are a pita to fit trying to get the little plastic clips in and everything feels cheap

I've fitted 3 this year.
1st one an external combi, pcb was goosed.
2nd one an internal combi, the plastic flues are absolute tat.
3rd one, another external combi, it's about 2 months old and the diverter valve is goosed.

I think all oil combi boiler are absolute cack. Much prefer a Hounsfield and an unvented.
