Hi,
Recently I noticed some leaking from the sump cover on my boiler (Ideal Logic Combi 35). Seems to happen when the CH is on. Over night I leave a paper towel underneath the boiler is which wet by the following morning. I have uploaded a photo highlighting where the water is leaking from...
Originally i got called out to the boiler which was losing pressure every 6 weeks or so. Vessel was flat and prv leaking. So recharged and changed prv.
That lasted 4 weeks and i got called back yesterday. All the rads are full and no leaks to be found.
I isolated the boiler and cut the...
Hi all
Looking for some help please!
It concerns an ideal logic plus 24 combi.
When you switch the central heating on it fires up fine. All the radiators get up to temperature. It then stops and the radiators cool down. All good! They do not come back on, even when the room is noticeably...
Was at a job where the guy reported that his boiler was making a loud vibrating noise when using the hot water, took a look at it and the boiler display was saying
Pump over run and
Fan post purge
Took the condensate trap out and found both the trap and the little rubber feed on top of the...
Ideal Logic + heat 24 fault code FA
I understand it’s a Flow direction fault. Meaning the incoming water is hotter than the outgoing, but the boiler has been installed for more than 7 years and its only just started happening…
Could this be a faulty pump or thermostat?
Any advice would be...
Three questions for you experts. I have had an Ideal logic 30+ combi installed, unusually retaining the tank so it's direct feed to the downstairs taps and in a S plan configuration to the pre existing hot cylinder. To complicate things further I have a second zone which is underfloor heating...
Hi all,
I've just moved in to a new build with the above boiler and two thermostats (one upstairs, one downstairs). The other day we had an issue where the heating upstairs stayed on no matter what the thermostat said, I managed to factory reset the upstairs thermostat and since then the rads...
Hi, please can someone help. I just moved into a new house and the boiler needs filling up but there is no filling loop. The previous owner did mention how to do this without a loop but I can't recall. I do remember going to the tank upstairs and next to it is a knob which you have to turn after...
hi guys,
Had a quick look at job this evening was a ideal logic combi 35. When running for hot water makes a thumping noise. Have cleaned out condensate which defo was blocked up so clearly boiler has never been serviced. Boiler is about 6-7 years old .
Going back Wednesday first thing to have...
I am looking to a gas engineering course which apparently is a Logic Accredited Course and at the end of it i will receive a logic certificate. And i then do a re-assessment every 5 years.
Can anyone tell me is this certificate a recognised qualification and will it allow me to register with...
How do you bring the fault codes up on these? Going to look at a friends later they need to reset it everyday. Will probably be L2 or L1 as it mostly is on the logics. They are saying they can't see a fault code on the display when it needs to be reset. I could with knowing the code so I can go...
Hi, I have an Ideal Logic Heat 24 boiler, but even when in off mode on the programmer, it constantly starts the fan up for a few seconds and then shuts down again. Any ideas please? Not good for light sleepers!
Hi folks,
I'm a customer who has a 3 year old Logic Combi 35 in my house that has been losing pressure regularly since the new year.
At first it was every 3/4 days but I tried adding a leak inhibitor which delayed it to every 7 days, but after a couple of week it returned to every 3/4 days...
Hi, I attended a Ideal Logic Plus 24 today and although there was no fault code, the DHW was reaching a max of 52 degrees. Looking at the service book it doesn't have a DHW thermistor. Can anyone please tell me what regulates the temperature? Thanks
I have the fault F1 on my boiler. The pressure is at about 0.25! I have googled and found out about the filling loop. My boiler seems to have a permanent filling loop but only 1 valve. I have turned that and left in 30 mins but no change in pressure. I'm guessing I need to turn something else...
Hi, tonight's job is as follows. Cust has just bought the house and not moved in yet, currently decorating.
Been to look at their ideal logic 30. Boiler in the kitchen. Shower is a thermostatic bar. Water runs Luke warm. Basin runs a bit better but runs cooler the higher the flow. Bath hot tap...
